Frequently asked questions
Buying on Craftic
How do I buy on Craftic?
Sign up with your email (it's verified with a one-time code), add items to your cart and check out. Each checkout creates a separate order for each shop, and the order goes straight to the seller.
Who am I buying from?
From the seller who runs the shop — the contract is between you and the seller, not Craftic. Each seller must say whether they sell as a business or as a private individual, which can affect the consumer rights that apply to your purchase.
How can I pay?
It depends on what the shop has set up: card payments (PayPal / Stripe) through our payment partner Western Bid, or Payoneer, bank transfer or cash arranged directly with the seller. For card payments your statement will probably show "WESTERN BID" rather than the shop's name. Craftic never receives or holds your money.
Which currency are prices in?
Prices are set by each shop and are currently in US dollars (USD). Your bank or payment provider may apply its own conversion rate and fees.
Where can I buy from, and where do shops deliver?
You can shop from anywhere except sanctioned locations and, for now, the United Kingdom. Each shop chooses where it delivers and at what price — check the delivery section of the product page.
Will I pay customs duties?
A cross-border order may attract import duty, import tax or customs fees in your country. Unless the seller states otherwise, these are paid by the buyer and are not included in the price or the shipping cost.
Can I cancel an order or return an item?
You can cancel only if the shop allows it and its cancellation window (from "before dispatch" up to 7 days) hasn't passed. Returns and exchanges follow the shop's own policy — return periods range from 14 to 90 days — subject to your statutory consumer rights. Check the policy on the product page before you order.
What if something goes wrong with an order?
Contact the seller first. If you can't resolve it, report the order to Craftic from the order page. We review reports and may act against a seller who breaks the rules, but we're not a party to the sale and can't guarantee a refund. Your rights against the seller and your card issuer are not affected.
Can I order something made just for me?
Yes, if the shop accepts custom requests. Sending a request costs nothing and isn't an order. If the shop takes it on, you agree the details with the seller, who then publishes an item at the agreed price that only you can see, and you buy it like any other order. A request the shop hasn't answered closes after 14 days; an offer you haven't accepted expires after 30.
How are listings ordered?
Newest first — on the home page, in search and in each shop. Nothing anyone pays for changes that order.
Selling on Craftic
Who can open a shop?
Anyone 18 or over who makes handmade goods, sells vintage items or offers craft supplies. During the launch phase, opening a shop is limited by country, and shops trade in US dollars — see Section 4.1 of the Terms of Service.
Does Craftic charge fees?
Not at the moment — Craftic charges buyers and sellers no fee. Payment providers, including Western Bid, charge their own. If we ever introduce a fee, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it starts.
How do I get paid?
Buyers pay you directly — Craftic never holds the money. For card payments (PayPal / Stripe) you need your own Western Bid account; you can also offer Payoneer, bank transfer or cash. The step-by-step guide explains how to connect Western Bid. Read the guide
What can't I sell?
Handmade goods, vintage items and craft supplies — physical goods only; digital products aren't accepted for now. Some items are prohibited or allowed only on conditions; the full rules are in Section 7 of the Terms of Service. Read the Terms of Service
Your data
What do you do with my personal data?
We use it to run the marketplace — your account, orders and support. We don't sell your data. When you order, your delivery and contact details go to the seller, and card payments share what's needed with Western Bid. You can access, correct or delete your data and close your account at any time. Read the Privacy Policy
